Anyone have experiences or prices on shipping a C4 across the country? I found one in Oregon and I am in Alabama. Any ideas on how expensive that might be? Time is not a value with this if the price is less. Any experiences with this sort of thing?

I live in the Portland oregon area and have shipped cars from virginia, georgia, texas, and arizona. If you ship open carrier you'll be in the $1000 range. Closed carrier, good luck, will run you up to 2k.
Interesting that you found one in oregon. when i was looking I couldn't find anything here that wasn't way over priced. Do you need some one to look at it for you?

I've shipped 6 cars 'cross country 1st 3 were NG. Last 3 were with DAS: Chicago to Whidbey Island and 2 from So Cal to Whidbey. Two were terminal to terminal (cost is less). The Chaicgo to Whidbey was door to door. I found DAS did what they said, when they said they'd do it and their prices were competitive. http://www.dasautoshippers.com/car_s...Auto_Transport

I might need someone to look at it for me if it looks like it will be a possibility. I haven't even talked to the dealer about it yet as I just found the car online today. I'll also have to figure out exactly where it is.
The first thread that Red86nado posted is about me. Here is the company that I recommend. A Plus Auto Shippers http://www.moveautos.net/ The car was here in about 7 days and they picked up the car in three days. They were very friendly. Good Luck

Sent you a pm. I'd be happy to check it out for you. What's the dealer's name? Or shoot me an email with the ad and I can probably figure it out.
I sold a chevelle ss396 to a collector in chicago he used these guys. They were very quick and had nice equipment.
I shipped mine from California to Ohio for about $750. That was terminal to terminal with DAS so someone at that end will have to drop it off for you and you will have to go get it but that was a bunch cheeper than door to door. I also passed on all there insurance, figured if they screw the car up they are fixing replacing it if I pay extra or not I just may have to fight harder. I also passed on the express shipping and all the other frills that could have taken it over $2000 easy. All in all I was very happy with the price and service It's kind of fun to track the car as it moves across the contry, except the time it stopped and sat in 1 town for 3 days.
