Whats wrong?

Stock TPI, no superam... mudstained faded carpet. No paperwork on motor?? His hp and tq figures..... I cant see Lingenfelter combining a "lumpy" cam with a stock TPI...Not his style.
Either someone took the intake off or this guy is full of it.

: ...Definitely built in the 80's... That car has been together a long time..

Updated front and rear clip, 89 wheels. Has the trademark Borlas that Lingenfelter liked.

Not saying its good or bad, but he can sure talk up a car

I don't see any problems other than the faded carpet and tacky dash kit.

The parts in the photo that are rusted are steel parts that he probably removed the paint from.

The throttle body cover is steel, says "lingenfelter performance engineering" on it.

It was converted to speed density.

I don't recognize the headers.

Whatever was done to it, it was a long time ago.

All I can say is that the Buy It Now price is unrealistic.

The sellers lists "high pad discs"....this mean anything to anybody??
Maybe he's British...

I can't see any future value in this car unless you get it for the value of a true 85 and you have the expertise yourself to do whatever it needs or is going to need going forward. Personally, I'm in this for the fun of driving and owning a C4 not to create projects for the rest of my life, but some people want to be involved in projects and that's ok, to each his own. .

C Coaster, how do you convert an 85 to speed density? Upgrade to a 165 ECM, yes but to SD?

I am not validating the car here however, the "early" Lingenfelter cars had "big runners" as this car seems to show - The SuperRam was not introduced until ~ 1990 so if the car was done prior to that, it would not have the JL-1 intake

I hope this helps

You are right....Aftermarket runners its hard to see the gap between the runners, hard to tell from the pic. I thought they were stock, suppose I could be wrong.

JL-1 intake?!

...that was the original name for the SuperRam intake JL-1 = John Lingenfelter (the "1" I imagine, would be due to the first design there... )

One thing is for certain....the front bumper has late model molding, and the rest of the car has early model molding.
