Whats wrong?
Stock TPI, no superam... mudstained faded carpet. No paperwork on motor?? His hp and tq figures..... I cant see Lingenfelter combining a "lumpy" cam with a stock TPI...Not his style.
Either someone took the intake off or this guy is full of it.

I don't see any problems other than the faded carpet and tacky dash kit.
The parts in the photo that are rusted are steel parts that he probably removed the paint from.
The throttle body cover is steel, says "lingenfelter performance engineering" on it.
It was converted to speed density.
I don't recognize the headers.
Whatever was done to it, it was a long time ago.

What I was looking @ also was the body . front and rear bumpers seem to be 91 > but car is an 85 ? and the add says ...... All stock body

I can't see any future value in this car unless you get it for the value of a true 85 and you have the expertise yourself to do whatever it needs or is going to need going forward. Personally, I'm in this for the fun of driving and owning a C4 not to create projects for the rest of my life, but some people want to be involved in projects and that's ok, to each his own.

I am not validating the car here however, the "early" Lingenfelter cars had "big runners" as this car seems to show - The SuperRam was not introduced until ~ 1990 so if the car was done prior to that, it would not have the JL-1 intake

...that was the original name for the SuperRam intake JL-1 = John Lingenfelter (the "1" I imagine, would be due to the first design there... )
