Default Values??????????????????

What is a good price for a Challenge car? Also, a R9G? I know what I paid and want to see if I got rooked or got a good deal. Thanks.

The time to do this type of homework is past for you.

You bought the car. Don't worry about whether or not you overpaid for it. All it can do is sour the experience.

Only one person sets the value of a car: the buyer. You set the value of your car. The deal is done.

Enjoy what you now have; a fairly rare, collector Corvette!!!

Knowing the cars you bought (actually finding some of them for you ), I can honeslty say you got a good deal

The last 89 Challenge car I know sold, went for 56k and did not have its second engine, as many do. As I understand, you got your blue car for quite a bit less than that and could flip it for a handsome profit, should (sales) history repeat itself.

Enjoy your collection as you build it - you are off to a great start

You can't blame the guy for wanting to know how much his car is worth. I'd want to know if my eyes got me in over my head.

Point here: the logical time for knowing how much the car is worth is before writing the check, not after.

If you got in over your head, would you really want to know the extent of the damage?? If so, why? ...so you could beat yourself up all the more? Knowing exactly how much you overpaid would not change the facts one iota.
Life is a box of chocolates...take the good with the not-so-good, smile about it, and move on to the next adventure.

Its not that its $56K for a single car, its $56K for 18 year old corvette. Personally I would have bought a new vette with that kind of cash, but he's building a collection and I guess those are rare cars. I've never seen one in person and I heard theres only like 9.
