I want to use a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator with bypass. I want a adjustable range between 10 and 20 psi. Any recommendations? Would be nice if it had a port to throw a gauge on, and mounting bracket.
Aeromotive, mine adjusted from 4 lbs to I think 20 lbs but you will have to run a bigger return line if you want it to work right,if you are using the intank pump.
One hole for a presure gauge 2 lines for carb one for return line one for fuel in.
I used the stock return line on the car ,but the regulator would creep up on me all the time.
I ran a 5/8 line to the tank, cut into to where the evaporation loss line goes into the tank and cut a hole to fit ,cut a nut that fit the elbo 5/8 and screwed it in .
I also run an external pump for the nitrous.I had to use the old return from the factory for the external pump pick up.
Jegs or Sumit carry them .If you want the steel brade line and Russel ends Summit is cheaper.

The in tank pump on an 84 only runs around 12 psi. The TPS pumps run a lot higher and thats probably why you had to run a larger return line since you went to a carb. I am locating the reg on the return line and will be bypassing the built in reg on the the left TB. I don't think I'm going to have to run a larger line back to the tank. Good info though!
