I am curious about my clutch. The gears do not catch until the the clutch is on the high side of the pedal. Now the car just rockets with no problem at all, every gear, anytime. No slipage what so ever. Would you say this clutch is on its way out or could a good bleeding deminish some of this problem? Unfortunately I am pretty recent with owning an american stick so I do not really know how to tell. Sean at OC Corvettes said it was on it's way out but really did not look into anything else first. I figure he would know but I am double checking.
IF....... The clutch can be blead then how do you do this?
Bleeding would not be likely to help any, and the clutch itself is not adjustable. There might be a linkage adjustment, but it really sounds like the clutch disc wear is near the end of it's service life.

I agree. Just start saving some money for the day when....
I just bought a Centerline stage 1 plate and disc a few weeks ago as to not take a full blow when it's time.
As far as my interpretation of the "throw" with the pedal. Let's say from the floor to where the pedal stops is 100%. Then it is not catching until 75 - 80% to the top.
Thanks for the feedback. It is most appreciated. BTW, When a clutch really starts to go will it leave me stuck or will I know when it is time like immediately.
