Closing the hood
We are all fuzzy with our Vettes. Do you drop your hood, or do you lower it down, and then push the hood closed from each side.
Thought of the day.

I slam it. Actually I just drop it about 18-24 inches from close...usually does the trick and doesn't sound too bad of a slam.

I lower it down till it rests on the latches, then push till each side clicks in.

Don't never shut it with the doors open, and don't ask me how I know. But you'll guess when you see the little chip out of my hood where it hit the drivers door.

I lower it, and then slam it down. The "push corner" method doesn't seem to work on my car. Wish it did, altho it is a bit inconvenient.
Not slam it, drop it from about a foot. why did I say slam it? I'd never do that....

I hold it near the center and drop it from about 12". Works perfectly every time.

I get a long broom stick and knock the scissor strut sideways, then jump away as fast as I can. Squishing it down just leaves greasy hand prints. And the hands are always greasy after working on it.

Lower it down with hand from center and when rested I push each side till latched, and give light pull to make sure that it is secure.
