Default sensor help???

There are way too many sensors on this car. Is there a website that tells where the location of all the sensors are? I've been to fuse.net but there descriptions are like front of engine, under throttle body, well there are 3-4 sensors in that general location. I'm looking for the Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor, can somebody help me out here?
I'm having problems with my temp. gauge, don't think it's working properly. Because it says the temp is 240 when the fan kicks on, which is very hot, and when I check the coolant when it says it's that hot, it's not even boiling or anything to that effect. So I think something could be up with the sensor. Just another thing that can go wrong with my car. :-(
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The engine coolant sensor is located in the front of the engine mounted in the intake manifold.

You might want to check the fan switch, located in the drivers side head or the fan relay located on the fan shroud on the drivers side. Either one of these going bad will cause a higher than normal temperature reading.

Coolant under pressure has a much higher boiling point than plain water, so don't expect it to be boiling at 140 degrees.
