Just wonder if a 92 coupe or a 92 vert has a higher value for resale. Also have a the hardtop for the vert . Not that I looking to sell it. I am thinking of buying another one while in Florida and diving it back to Wisconsin for some fun. My wife brought me a Triple white Vert last year for a souvenir and had blast diving it back from Fla. Now It my turn to buy her a souvenir.
I remember those pics! Generally, because a roadster cost more as an option, it costs more as a used car. Depending on the car and year, it can be 1500 to several thousand more. For instance, there were very few GS roadsters. For your '92 assuming everything else is the same, the roadster should cost more.
Probably you won't make money on either for a decade or so. You may pay more for a vert and sell it for more. Less for a coupe, etc. I think it's a wash in the short term. Just drive 'em for 20 years and see where you end up!

I own two 89s a coupe and a vert with h/t I also have both window stickers the verts base price is 5K more than the coupe so the vert must be worth more!
So why won't the vert be worth more it cost more to build?

Yes, I believe that this is the definitive way to approach it
A vert would be easier to sell. I have a coupe that I bought because of an extremely good price. I would have preferred a vert. Will probably end up with a vert one of these days. The verts make an extremely good looking car with the top down, but I do admit that I think the coupes look better than a vert with the top up.

Go to www.kbb.com and type in your Corvette to see what the private party value is. Then type it again as a coupe and find the difference. Their total value may not reflect the current market but the difference in price between the coupe and vert should give you an idea of the difference in value.

Here are a couple of links: 92 coupe, auto trans, 70,000 miles in good condition = $9,050 private party.http://www.kbb.com/KBB/Selection/Condition.aspx
92 convertible, auto trans, 70,000 miles in good condition =$10,250 http://www.kbb.com/KBB/Selection/Condition.aspx
Based on this I would just go with whatever you want. I love the verts so that is what I would pick. Have you ever driven the coupe? They have lots more storage space but you don't get that totally open road experience that you have with the top down.

Everything being equal, age, condition, mileage, etc, a convertible will always be $1-2K more than a coupe. The only exception is the 1963 SWC vs a 63 vert.

In many cases, a convertible will bring a much larger premium than $1-2k.
Thanks Forum , T/A it with the wife and she looking at a vert instead of a coupe while on vacation in fla.
color not that big of a deal because were planning to sell it when we get back. Unless I build a bigger garage. Then she might keep it.
hoping a vert is easier to sell than a coupe as well
