I have been on the internet and called 4 tire shops and nobody can get goodyear F1s in 315/35/17. One person told me they quit making them ! What the..... So now I'm looking at the BFgoodrick g-force KD. Has anybody here gotten F1s lately or point me in the right direction? Those were the tires I had my heart set on.
They show that the tire is back ordered, so i called tires plus they don't show any in stock in any wharehouse. So I called a goodyear dealer he couldn't find any anywhere, and he said he would try and get me a time frame tomorrow but speculated that they might have eliminated the size. Also called a couple other tire shops and couldn't locate any. So..... probably look at some other brand I guess.
How about trying a few of the Vette salvage joints? Years ago when I had my 88 and hit a bit of a tough spot economically, I found some great deals on tires at a couple of the local ones. Those are pretty popular tires so you might get lucky...
I bought mine this winter from Tire Rack. And those 315's are sweet. look like rare also. I would get a hold of Luke at tire rack. He is on the wheel/tire forum here at Corvette forum vendor /contributor. he should have the answer you need good or bad if anyone has it.. good luck and post the outcome. I heard about a shortege about two months ago, glad I got mine in dec. They look great on a C-4 again good luck.

Who you been talking to? Discounttiredirect.com web says out in 3 warehouses, but LOW IN TEXAS. Are they now telling you they're out? I'd think low means a few left, not out.
Tires for our cars, especially the 315 size are getting harder to come by. Earlier this year I had my heart set on some BFG's since the Michelins no longer come in the 315/35R17, but they were on a national backorder and had no intention of producing anymore this year, so I was forced to get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3's. Not a bad tire, I don't think they are as good as the Michelin was, but I really had no choice.
With cars now coming with 18's,19's and larger, 17" sizes are being phased out.
I was looking at putting something else on my 92 because everyone said they didn't have them. Discount tire got them same day when I talked to them, they're out there if you look.
You're tire salesman saying they quit making them is so you'll buy something else and he'll make a sale.....
We don't have a discount tire in ther area, I believe there is one in the minneapolis area. I've checked with tires plus and a couple private tire shops. Maybe I'll call a discount tire.
