Default Wilcoxx

I wanted to post about how pleased I am with Wilcoxx. After frustrations beyond belief with another vendor, I called Wilcoxx and order a set of mounted leather seat covers for my '93. I spoke with Norm and he was very professional. He said that he would check on the price and availability and call me back. Within 10 minutes he called back and said that they had them in stock & quoted me the price. I ordered them at that time and he said that they would ship the same day.

I called the next week to check on the shipment and wouldn't you know it, upon checking someone in the shipping department dropped the ball and did not ship the seats as promised. Norm was obviously very upset and promised that they would go out that day.

Norm then called back later that day and gave me the FedEx tracking number. He said that he would follow the order as well. He then called me yesterday and said that he had been following the order and it was scheduled to be delivered today. The order did arrive today and the seats look great.

We hear so many negative things about vendors I wanted to relay a positive experience.

I, as well, have had a recent very positive experience with Wilcox. I ordered replacement covers for my '85 standard seats (not mounted). They shipped as promised and I had the things in like 4 days. I mounted them up last weekend - good fit, look like good quality, no issues.

Sort of a shame that I had to order the new seat heaters from someplace else!

When I had my 72 coupe, I used to order a bunch of stuff off them and they are great to work with.

So, when Al Knoch couldn't come through, Willcox did. A vendor right here on CF.

Now that is a great ending to a long story. Glad to hear it!

Yeah, maybe take the same or similar shots as JetJock did and we'll do a comparo. Or better yet, put the seats out in the sun by themselves, side by side, and take some close ups. That should "seal the deal"!!!

I'll put some pics up, hopefully this weekend. I won't be able to do the " out in the sun" pics as I dropped the seats off at the upholstrey shop yesterday. They are re-working the carpet that they installed and I am trying something with the plastic seat backs. My seat backs looked like crap and couldn't find any replacements, I considered painting (dying) them but I still didn't think it would look good so I'm having them cover the seat backs with the same "vinyl" as is on the door panels. Since they are going to have the seats apart anyway, they're going to put the new seat cushions in when they put it back together.

When I did drop them off, the guy that owns the shop commented on how nice they were!

Gee, I love a success story, especially when I'm about to pull the trigger on my new leather.

I was getting ready to post something similar

After asking here which carpet to go with, and from where, I got suggestions to use Wilcox.

I ordered a full carpet set for my 85, and received it about 5 days later. Everything looked great!!

Other than some very slight trimming, the fit was near perfect!

Thanks Wilcox!!!!

I went with the 'leather like' covers without perfs about 3 years ago and I am still very satisfied with them.

This was the day I got the seats back in and the few wrinkles you see have since come out.

Also bought the replacement steering wheel and it is great, and no core charge or extra shipping.

I feel they are the best, I purchased the carpet kit w/ mass backing, deluxe door panels and mounted leather seat covers, all products were impressive as well as outstanding customer service. Here is a pic though the door panels are not defined in the picture.

OK, just picked the car up and brought it home. I changed my mind again, as usual, and went ahead and dyed the seat backs and I think they came out OK. After getting the seats mounted you could see some wrinkles in the leather. Probably not a perfect mount but after what I've been through with this thing I'm keeping them. The upholsterer that did the carpet and mounted them said that he thinks they'll smooth out after sitting in the sun some, we'll see. Point of clarification, still very pleased with Wilcoxx. Update on what's been done:

Bought The Car
New Audio
New Carpet
New Seats
New Targa
New Seatbelts
New Insulation
New Optispark & Waterpump
New Windshield Weatherstripping

All in just over a month. I think me and my bank account are going to take a break now.
