As far as investments are concerned, they have a '90 ZR-1 with 63 original miles, being sold for $15,000 less than their stated MSRP. Somebody lost some $$$ on that investment!
When you make it your business to sell premium cars and have sold as many as Roger's has, you CAN sell your cars at a higher price based on the reputation alone.
Everybody has a different opinion of what a nice car is. If your tastes run toward factory correct and as nice as they left the factory, Roger's is a good choice without many of the associated headaches of searching for what truly is a nice car.
I have never bought from Roger's, but he carries the kind of cars I like and salivate over. Some people can appreciate their cars for the objects of desire or beauty they may be without feeling that the only way to enjoy them is to run the mileage into six digits. May I add that many of these same people can occasionally enjoy the performance of their car, without worrying wether or not their car is an investment or not or whether they will make any money when they sell it.
Show car, nice car, casual driver, or daily driver, whatever, they all have their place. Don't put down us owners who like to preserve and take care of our cars. The next owner may trash it in the first day. I know I won't live forever, and that I can't take it with me - but on my watch, let me enjoy my car the way I like to.
Your daily driver may provide you "miles of smiles", and that's great, but don't think everyone else should like the same kind of car.

You are missing the point completely, when you buy a car from Roger's it is backed up by his reputation.
You are not worrying about the car like you would from a used car salesmen.
get your super rare vette and bend over hard for it. which is also fine. barret-jackson and rogers out to form an alliance with each other.
Whatever - statements like this just reek of jealousy to me. Yeah, I'm sure you would rather drive your 90 with a million miles on it then a sweet low mileage callaway...........
People who buy at Roger's don't give a **** about $$$, they have $$ and are paying for the convenience of writing a check and purchasing a good car without scouring the paper for month after month and travleling to sellers homes to find roach after another roach - Time is $$$.
Honestly for the first time buyer Rogers wouldn't be a bad thing. Do you know how many people get taken on their first Vette and pay way too much for a junker?? Then they have to pay to fix it up and they have to turn around and dump the car because Corvettes are simply too much work and too expensive. At least at Rogers you pay on the front end but your car is pretty rock solid for a few years.
At least their first experiece with Corvettes would be a positive one.

good point. unless you're looking for that certain rare find, don't go to rogers. which is what i've been saying.

You have a way with words Hot Rod 90, like fingernails to a chalkboard. Many of these cars are not so special other than they have low miles. You yourself point out in your profile that your own car is a 6 speed, FX3 with duel sport seats - something your obviously proud of . If you had found your car at Roger's and it had only 15,000 miles for $15,000, would you have paid that for it? Or, would it only truly be a nice car to you if you found it somewhere else with 73,000 miles on it for an asking price of $6,400?
No offense, just don't tell the rest of us that we "ought to bend over for it".

i would never buy any 16 year old car with such low mileage, no matter what price it is (oops i lied, i would for $20)......i like the mileage and the ultra low price on the other deal though
to xlr8florida, mileage on my '90 is 78,000 which is about probably about medium for the kind of car we drive. and no i'm not jealous at all--- you tried to claim this earlier in the thread. what i get out of you is that your ultra sensitive, and possibly suffer from a slight superiority complex because you're assuming your stance might cause any form of jealousy to begin with

Yeah that makes alot of sense, you like to drive someone elses abused worn our car over a nice tight one with low mileage.

You obviously don't know me very well.
You think Roger's is a rip, his cars aren't worth it and all low mileage vettes are no good.
You couldn't be more wrong. No question that your high mileage vette that maybe someone took care of decently (say a 7 on a scale of 1-10) is a good "VALUE"
Roger's cars are all 9 and 10's with low mileage and no sketchy histories - it's like comparing apples to oranges.
Ive probably spent hours in his showroom over the last 7 years. It's apparent to me that you have never visited the showroom or you might get the picture....

You think Roger's is a rip, his cars aren't worth it and all low mileage vettes are no good - Funny the public dosen't agree with you and which Vettes bring the most $$$ - low mileage ones.
its ok, we're all good
i understand the general public wouldn't agree with me, you're probably right. and i never care what they think either. like i said before, roger's is for the big bucks guy who doesn't want to think. maybe the dude doesn't have time, he wants his cream puff now and is more than happy to write that big fat check to the grinning roger's sales/sleaze bag. like you said (sort of). i say there's always people like that, just like there's a sucker born every minute. and i still say the barret-jackson phenomenon and outfits like rogers should be in bed with one another. write it up high (like the movie, hang 'em high), jack it up!
