Default Pay It Forward Again.

I have received great advice & direction from Andy (Bogus) and Lani (Jet-Jock) while working on my "little project" and for that I am very grateful. Additionally several other board members have offered advice as well that proved helpful.

I know its not much but I have some items that I thought someone on the board could possibly use.
  1. '93 Bronze Targa (spider webbing & a few scrathes but the frame & weatherstripping is good)
  2. Lft & Rt gray seatbelts (webbing is a little dirty but other than that fine)
  3. Head (radio & cassette only) receiver front & rear speakers from my '93. Don't ask me if its bose or not cause I don't know.

For now thats all I can think of but will post more as I go through what I removed. I'll ship any of this out just for the shipping cost except for the top. If anyone wants that it will have to be picked up. If no one wants the top them I'm going to remove the front & rear mounting brackets & screws and keep those myself as spares.

This is such a incredible gesture on your part .

If U decide to ship and Goldcylon passes I would be more then happy to shipping for it also . I think a glass top would make the wife a bit more comfortable in the car . I'm told they feel a bit more roomy with with a glass top .

May your generosity come back 3 folds some day

Any idea on the shipping cost for the speakers to Wisconsin (53029)? I'm interested. If they are bose I can use them to replace the existing ones, if they are not, then I can just replace the HU with Non-bose. All I know for sure is that my current speakers are crap.

If anyone knows for sure that the '93 speakers won't fit in my '88, let me know and I'll pass - I'll only take what I can use.

If he's shipping this - there is a long history of the freight companies messing them up. So heres what you do - it may pay off big time.

1. Make sure the sender takes a few photos showing the top in good condition - as well as the packing of the top.

2. Pay the extra to insure it for 475 bucks (over 500 is a different catagory)

3. make sure you open the top when it is delivered - with the delivery guy still there - any damage - make sure he notes it in his records!

These 3 simple steps allowed me to get the top I bought for 250 bucks repaired (slight corner damage - ) and the rest of the money went for the cars paint job - which suprisingly looks pretty good!

You don't do this stuff and chances are you will be sorry!

Goldcylon, I am assuming that you are in the military and stationed in Iraq. My father was career Army and served in WWII, Korea & Vietnam active duty. I lost him 3 years ago and he had a full military ceremony. It was one of the most humbling experiences of my life.

In honor of what you do for me, my family and all other board members I will glady ship the top to you. Don't worry about the shipping, I think I can cover that for you. Let me get into the office Monday and find out how it needs to be packaged and I'll PM you.

Just for clarification, it is not new and by no means apperas so. Again, it does have some "spiderwebbing" on the front corners and various "scrathes" over the surface (some quite deep). If you still want it, let me know and its yours.

Thank you for your service!

I have no idea but I would guess the worst would be $20.00 or so. Just let me know and no, they are not Bose.
