LCD dash is blank
This is my first post on this site as I am usually on the C6 forum with things about my '05. My '84 with 19,000 miles (I am original owner) has just experienced a situation on the dash where I have no display whatsoever. This has been fine for 20 + years and today when I took it out for a Sunday drive after sitting about a month the display never kicked in. I know these dashes have had their share of problems but I never followed the information too much as I was not affected. Am I totally hosed on this or is there something that might be a simple fix (power cord, connection etc.?) I checked the fuse, and that was OK.
Sorry if this is bringing up old topics, but please direct me to some correct info if it exists.

With an ohmeter (because fuses cannot be checked visually 100% all the time) the LCD fuse, the CLSTR fuse, and the TAIL fuse. Then check back with what you found and we will go from there. Also, can you see the LCD panes actually working with a flashlight? It may be just your 4 backlight lamps that are burned out.

Thanks for the info. I may not be able to get at these solutions until next weekend, but at least I'm headed in the right direction. I'm hoping it could be as little as a fuse or ground wire, but I'll be prepared for the worst.
