Howdy again all....i have a question.. Is it ok to theme a corvette, or is it just wrong??? Being from Chicago i am a HUGE bears fan. so with my vett being a 85 and the best team ever being the 85 bears, i was thinking off doing some things to it. The ideas i have will be mild at best, but is it ok to make a theme of your vett. The fact that it is a BLUE 85 vett is 1/2 the battle. and with the colors of the bears orange and blue i was figuring in adding in some orange accents to stuff(nice that chevy is big on orange also) I just kinda been tossing this idea around so i haven't come up with to much, but i DO NOT want it to be to over the top. 2 ideas i had was to paint the tuned port injected on the body molding in orange(its red now and crappy from previous owner) and the thottle body cover to get a new one engraved with 85 bears or something with the letters in orange. I love and respect my vett, but to me this seems like a fun idea for local car shows....Am i wrong for doing something like this to a vett???
It's your Corvette, you do what you want with and to it. There will be some that will hate it, and some that will like it. You are the only one that has to live with it. so do what pleases you!
Depends on whether or not you ever plan to sell the car in the future. And if you do, how easy would it be to return it to the original parts? These are the questions you need to ask yourself. I see no reason not to modify the car, it is yours after all.

It's OK with me. I was thinking of doing the same thing with a previous metallic grey 86 that I owned by putting a Honolulu blue Lion on it.
Never did it though as they NEVER win!
Just don't use the colors of the despised Green Bay Packers (puke yellow and bile green).
