Default Outside Rearview Mirror help

I know I've seen the small blind-spot mirrors that are frameless somewhere, but I can't remember where. Can anyone help me out here? I'm looking for the small 2-3inch in diameter mirrors that do not have the black or silver backing frame. When these are attached they look like a bubble in the mirror itself. or like they were made with the mirror.

Wal Mart, Pep Boys etc. Maybe even a truck stop (those might be a bit large though).
Or try www.jcwhitney.com

I've seen the basic types of mirrors at all the above, I'm looking for a specific which I've yet to see at any of the Pep Boy's, Advance Auto, or NAPA's of the world. But thanks for the attempt, and by the way........JCWhitey will ROT before they get a dime from me!.......LOL.

Saw a couple in Eckler's catalog. Unfortunately I don't have it with me.

I've had one (spot mirror) on mine for a few years now - I Think I got it from Ecklers - that has the spot lens machined into the Back side of the actual flat mirror plate. The face of the mirror is completely smooth. It's pretty neat , you would swear that there must be a Bump on the glass - really fools the eye. It really does make it safer/easier to see what's over your left shoulder to, I'd be lost without it....

BTW - When I put it on there I was in a hurry so it got stuck on top of the mirror glass that was already there. Don't do it - the weight of two pieces of glass is enough that slamming the door will want to move the aim. Break off the old miror glass first - Then stick (it's just glued on) the new plate onto the frame,

I wonder if anybody's tried those Ecklers things on heated mirrors?

I can't speak for the Ecklers mirrors but the ones that were on my car are the black plastic framed ones like you can find at Autozone or CarQuest or whatever. I have the heated mirrors and they haven't moved a mm since they were installed way back when. So I"m thinking the ones that I'm looking for would be no different as long as it has a good grade of sticky-back tape it should be good!........Just my $0.02

So are you saying that what you bought from Ecklers was a complete new mirror with the spot mirror already in it? OR, did you buy a spot mirror that you had to install on the factory outside rearview mirror? I'm thinking the latter is what your saying, and basically what I thought I was on a quest for. I'll check out my Ecklers catalog and see if I can dig anything up. Thanks for the help!
