It cuts off the top portion of the rear view at my height. I am 6 feet tall. I will try to take a pic of the rear view from the mirror and from looking over the rear bumper. Over all it doesn't bother me much as I can see all traffic behind me, just might not be able to see the person behind the wheel of a truck behind you LOL.

If you do a "fake" rollbar, be prepared to hear some **** from those in the know. And if you ever decided to go to a track event, be prepared to go home without any runs.
As for just looks, it wouldn't look good unless you used the proper tubing for the job. As for the removable part, again, those in the know will give you **** because they can and again, you won't be able to run at any tracks.
So I would only add a rollbar if I needed it and I would do it properly.
