Default winter storage

Looking for some advice about storing my 87 Vette this winter. I have a noce , unheated, garage for my toys and was planning to store my new 1987 Vette in that this winter. It gets plenty cold up here in Maine over the winter months. I've been told that digital dash vettes don't like the cold and that I should store in a heated garage. I have a chance to do that for reasonable money, but the car will be out of state and out of site. Makes me nervous. Any comments on the cold storage issue ? If it's the right decision , then I'll spend the money. Thanks for the advice. Steve

I store my 87 in my garage which isn't heated here in Wisconsin. Normally my garage stays right above freezing - perhaps a little lower on the sub-zero days and I have no problems I'm aware of. I start up the car about every two to three weeks and warm it up to 200 degrees, then put it back in the garage (only do this when there is no snow in the driveway of course). I put some Stabil in it and if the battery seems to be getting low I trickle charge it.
