Make sure you have Air, Fuel and Spark when it will not start. After you check them out then you can start drilling down to the actual reason for the problem.
I,ve checked everything and replaced most. What is happening is the injectors are not getting fuel on certain times. I can go out there and start it up. turn it off and try to start 5 minutes later and it wont. an hour later it will?? Is there something with theft deterrent system?

That's a possibility.... Not that expensive either. Have you ever changed it? If not can't hurt. I did mine when I had a similar problem, plus alot more. It's located under the passenger side of the car attached to the frame. Worthwild to get the car in the air to do it. Makes the install much easier. If it still acts up after that I would suggest checking the fuel presure you are getting when it will not start.
Check your battery connection and connectors. Are they corroded? Is your battery good? Have you tested it? They can do some pretty funky things once they start dying and drop past 12 volts....

Almost sounds electrical...while you are at it, check your charging system--alternator output will also affect idle quality. My '84 is just a weekend driver. I leave a "battery tender" on so the battery stays in full charge.
Engine cranks, but does not start. I'm just not getting fuel to injectors. When it originally didn't start, I put a noid light on injector and would not light. I'd let it sit for a while and crank it up with noid light lit. I have changed complete distributor, wire, plugs.

Sounds like it may be time to subsitute a known good ECM.
Changing the distributor was a good idea....The distributor sends pulses from the pickup coil in the distributor back to the ECM.
The ECM supplies a ground for the negative side of the injectors based on the reception of the pulses.
One thing to check (when it won't crank) is the +12 volts to one terminal of both injectors.
There should be +12 on both of them when the key is turned on.
Are you sure it's injector related and not an intermittent fuel pump?
Just asking..........
The NOID light test you performed seems to point to the ECM/Distributor.
ohhhhhh, the trials and tribulations of owning an '84. my post isn't much more than an "i feel your frustration" post because i have been there done that with our '84. when we bought it back in january it barely ran and had only 3 wheels. but, about $6000 later she runs pretty well now.
good luck with your quest for that ever elusive "great running" '84 crossfire.

My 84 is supposed to do the same thing although it has not happened to me with my ownership of 3 weeks. My cousin had to have his towed several times and could never locate the problem. has changed about everything in this car including the ECM which is presently out of a Z28, which according to him gives the car better response.I thinking there is no cure for this problem but is just part of owning a 1984.Im getting towing insurance for mine.

If there truly is no solution to this problem (which I doubt) then I would save my money on the towing insurance and get fire insurance instead.
