I made it to 6 points. Thank goodness for the C5 rims and the drilled disk brake rotors, or I would in Rookie Status.

Consumated a romantic episode*

*deduct 1/2 point if you were unable to actually insert tab A into
slot B due to the close interior dimensions

Let us know your score. I added mine up and qualify for the Bogus award at 6 1/2 points.
How about some bonus points if you're both older than 50 and you WERE able to insert tab A into slot B?

I don't think Rosie Palm qualifies.

I feel like the freak now.
I'm a definite 9.5........................
Thought most everyone else here would be too.

I remember when the close interior dimensions wouldn't have been a problem. But I didn't have a Vette then.

and Ibuyvettes also,

I scored 4, and this is my second project turned-into-a-driver vette.
Does replacing the valve cover gaskets (bad leaks on both cars) count as anything? How about ripping the upper manifold off and polishing it?

I'm going to award myself the Bogus trophy though, because I redid the interior leather, carpets, and Halo.

Hmmm... an easy 8 but I also want to know if having the ZF Doc rebuild my trans makes it 9, it did involve a pallet/blocks/strapping, truck shipping & a single mass flywheel/clutch after I rebuilt the engine. Also that procharger install & custom fab alch injection should be at least 1/2 point?? What about welding in the roll bar & grafting a roadster x-brace underneath? All in my garage no less.

Been there done that! But must admit I've probably had a few more years to accomplish all 10 then some forum members and some of these items were a lot easier to do on a C-2/C-3 then a C-4.

Yeah, Man.

5 points before heater core swap, 22 points after. So there.

Oh, and the new X-brace ought to be a point.

And the hole I cut in my brick wall to stick an air conditioner so I could work on it this summer out to be worth about 6 points.

But that romantic thing - let's just say "Next time."

I'm still a rookie with 1 point, but most of the stuff I did wasn't on the list, liike replaced exhaust, replaced headlights, replaced seat tracks, etc...

But I think there should be some two-pointers:

the trans rebuild
the engine rebuild (provided you assembled and R&R'ed each)
heater core replacement
radiator replacement
spark plug replacement (LTx only)

Even three-pointers:

put in 4.10's yourself (and they lived...)
installed a super/turbo charger yourself
replaced the foglight lenses
replaced a power antenna

Any more?

Larry
code5coupe

In that case, I would have about a dozen + points
