tire patching
Hey, has anybody had any experience with patching your tires. My stock tires on my '95 got a nail puncture last nite. Nice and clean. Do you lose your rating with a patch. If I do replace it can I get away with only 2 tires as the tread looks good for a couple more years. Thanks

You can purchase a radial tire puncture repair kit at places like Pep Boys. I have repaired many punctures from nails, etc. No problem. The only critical type tire that you don't want to repair are those on motorcycles. Can be very dangerous.

I've had 3 such "experiences" in the last 2 months ^^^ I've got <6 month old Yokohama AVS's and 3 of them now have puncture wounds!!!
...and it rides fine and doesn't leak. And patching is not very expensive either.
