Default Emblem help

The previous owner of my car put on updated front and rear bumpers.
I think there from a 93, but I'm not sure of it.
The emblems were also updated I think... They are SILVER, and not BLACK.

I removed the Gas lid Emblem today to have the rear of the car wet-sanded, and buffed.
The emblem came off fine, and could be reapplied (its decent, but not perfect), but I would like a new one.

In browsing flea-bay, the only emblems I can locate are either:
  • Black
  • Silver, but have the 40th anniversary logo

What other years were offered with the silver emblems?
Anyone have a source to get a NOS silver (rear) one?

Thanks

93 40th anniversary cars only 96 collectors edition may have them not sure about that one. These can be purchased in any of the corvette catalogs. mid america, ecklers, etc, etc

As stated, plus you need to look at the bowtie part of the logo as it changes from year to year. If you specify the right year you'll get the right one's. '93's left side checkerboard, right side black filler with red bowtie. Black for the rest of the circle.

I had both my emblems replaced when i bought my 94 and both are Genuine GM, both look almost exactly as the one above, but are silver. The insert pieces are the same. Go to the local GM dealer and see what they have.

Mid-America has all the different emblems as well. They seem to be pretty expensive no matter where you look, as in around $30 each.

They are less expensive at the dealer if you know who to call... If you want silver, you need to ask for 96 GS emblems. They look just like the black ones except they are silver. If you get CE emblems they have "Collectors Edition" on them.

Here is a pic of mine:

One can apply which ever style they want. Just understand the silver one's are not the standard emblems. They are usually reserved for special issue models, i.e. 40th Anniversary Edition, Collector Edition, etc.
