Noticed while opening the driver's door yesterday
that the window was catching on the conv top
weatherstripping. Upon further investigation
when the window gets to the top it edges forward
hence catching the window in the weatherstripping.
Not sure what the exact cure is and would appreciate
anybody who had a similar problem to point me in
the right direction.
Guide Stops?
Thanks, where is the best place to obtain these?
Do I need anything like replacement clips/screws
or kit of any kind while doing this. I'm figuring
that I may just tighten down everything in there
while the door panel is off. Windows are kinda
rattly when closing the doors if not all the way up.
Any tips, tricks, suggestions, warnings, hazards,
would be appreciated. I'm not mr. mechanic.
While another subject, those of us in the Detroit
area are completely blown away by the Tigers this
year. Can this really be happening?
What this team has done to the normally dismal
attitude of most Detroiters is truely comparable
to intensive psychotherapy and shock treatments.
I'd suggest replacing all the guide stops while you are in there. I just replaced the front one a few months ago, now it looks like another one has gone out. haven't had a chance to get into it to find out, but it's a simaliar condition as before...just a little different...so I'm assuming another is cracked or broken.
I think there is two, one front and one rear, but I haven't popped open the door panel yet to find out what's rattling around and why the window won't close properly. The front one seems to be the common one to break.
