After 3 years,3 months of ownership and 8,000 miles my "change oil light" came on. I was beginning to think that it didn't work or that my car didn't have this feature.
I change the oil about every 1,500 miles and have never reset the oil change light.
Does this seem normal for it not to come on for over 3 years for a 95 LT1 ??
reading your thead just reminded me that i forgot to reset mine last time i got it changed. I already put mine in storage and was told to change the oil before so i did. since the light wasn't on i forgot completely all about it. Now next time i see my vette i will try to remember to set it.

It takes throttle position, rpm, and oil temp into consideration, IIRC.
Drive your C4 gently, and it could take decades for the "Change Oil" light to come on.
