Corvette caught fire!!
Anyone ever have an HEI catch fire? just happened last night all i can think is that power must have still been on to the coil and caused the meltdown. Distributor is completely melted as well as most wires in the area and the hood and wiper motor. anyone ever seen this happen?????

It is an 86' and had been sitting for no less then 4 hours and the distributor is completely melted. i am going to see if there was some wiring related problem that caused the coil to stay energized and over a few hours melted and caught fire. that is all i can think of.
