I live in Round Rock and have been datailing my vehicles for many years. Problem I have is I do a complete datail, clay/compond, wax, polish that a day or so after, the finish and glass is covered with cr%p again. Feels like sand paper, little drops of garbage like ia fine mist all over the pant and glass. It is not dust or grit and does not scratch. Washing will not remove them, have to use clay or compond to get everything smooth again and re-wax and polish. Are others in the area having the same problem or is it just me? None of the neighbors do much other than run to the car wash, so at a loss.
BTW, have some crepe mrytle trees in the yard, neighbor has some bartlet pear trees and on the other side live oak.
Any Ideas? I keep blaiming it on the crepe myrtle.
cover is not a option as the vette is kept in the garage and still gets the "mist drops". Seems like just pulling in the drive or down the street causes them to form.
It's sap from the foilage in your yard, probably trees. If you live in a windy area, that stuff blows for miles. I've got a yard full of Crepe Myrtles, and they don't seem to cause a problem, but the Pin Oaks in my yard wreak havoc on the finish of ALL our vehicles.
