no pics in the thread, I left them big for the links, for detail
it may because my car's not as nice as most, it may because it's just a car... I dunno. I decided to left a few people sit in my car during our recent car show. the first was an older couple, the lady was taking a picture because her son in law has one and I asked if they wanted me to take their pic inside it, they did. After that I let my niece and nephew sit inside for a while and touch stuph. Then as the show was winding down, there was this little boy with his dad who was really excited about the cars ( he was touching this one!) SO when he was going to get his picture taken in front of ours, I told him "Just a sec" then went around and opened the door for him, he was extremely stoked
It was a good day. My nephew spent a while standing next to the car telling people about it (This is a Chebby. This is a corvat. This is a 350 engine. This is where the lights come out.) He also made quite a bit up, so the more knowledgable guys helped him out and taught him more and more. More than a few came by and told him not to touch too
We were entered in the modified class and I really thought that the '60 would win (see link above), but instead it lost to this '67. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool car too, but the '60 was something else! It was even on the cover of Vette Magazine. The winner was a hometown car, and it won last year as well, a little favoritism from the home crowd/sponsering car club? I dunno... but I didn't hear a single person tell them that they were going to win this year.
anywho it was a good time, not a whole lot of vettes or c4's for that matter, so I took a bunch of other pics as well, some of my favs below...
I recommend looking at the full page
my daughter with a turkey leg
turkey leg two, yes she had help
the bass boat paint job one

my nephew by a hummer
possibly my next tattoo

this little monster's got a 502
this beasty's got a 600 CI Hemi and I got up close and personal to move the barricade for them at the show and shine
and just for fun

Some nice pics. The pic of your nephew reminds me of how the madness begins. I was that little boy once. Wait a minute .. I still AM that little boy.
