96 vert (correct color - Red/Black) with the original battery. My vert is only driven once or twice a week (garage queen/weekend driver). I am getting tired of having to charge the battery all the time.
What do you all recommend for a new battery for a weekend driver?
I don't think you can go wrong with the properly sized DieHard. I would not use the AC/Delco, I get a new work truck every 4 years and our whole fleet equipped with them had the post corrode out. My 95 has a undersized battery I put in by mistake, but it never goes down, I sometimes don't start the car for 5 days, you might also have some sort of drain on it.
Get a battery float charger. It'll keep your battery charged when you're not driving your car. I got mine at Harbor Freight Tools for under $15 bones....

Cool review thanks!
I am dissapointed there is no optima though
Optima RedTop here. Couldn't be happier, that thing just won't die, and its the THIRD vehicle this batter has been moved to LOL (came out of an offroad truck, then something else before that).

Just like the commercial says it is the battery that will out last your vehicle. I guess your testament is the truth
I'm an Interstate man myself and haven't owned a single car longest enough to see if they last. But i get a discount at their store so i just go with them.
Wal Mart batteries seem to last a long time and at $59 dollars its a good deal. However I still have the original Motorcraft battery in my 1997 F-150 I am sure anyday it will crap out.

I'm very surprised that Sears' DieHard wasn't rated that high on this list. My DieHard Gold is 6 1/2 years old and going strong. I'm more surprised that the AC Delco is rated at the top. I had one and it wasn't that good.
