Welcome to the forum Great choice of Corvettes (I have a 96 also). Be sure to clay bar it first before waxing. There is a section here on the Forum about detailing your car. A lot of folks use Zaino products.
I use a sport bike polish that is called Finish First that I like real well.

I personally use all Meguiars products and have had great results. I worked in a detail shop in high school and that is all we used. Check over at the "car care discussion", they will have some great tips. A lot of people are getting great results with Zaino.

Ask ten different guys you might get ten different answers, although most will say Meguier's or Zaino. There's a whole section on car care on this forum. The bottom line is you should use what you feel makes the car look its best.

I use Meguiars Gold Class. This is after a clay bar and wax. That's a basketball goal reflecting on my rear quarter.

I also use the Meguirs Gold Class. It is good stuff. Although I can't stand that guy Barry Meguir that hosts Car Crazy. His fake smile and capped teeth drive me nuts.

Go join Autopia, I know ZaneO from the "Car Care Discussion" forum on here goes there as well.

The information, product reviews and such is excellent over there. It's a wonderful forum devoted to automotive detailing and detailing products.

What I Use:

Car Wash - 3M Show Car Wash Concentrate(~$12)
Claybar - Mother's California Gold Paint Saving System (~$16)
Wax/Sealant - Meguiar's NXT Paste Wax(~$15) topped with Duragloss Aquawax(~$6); use on paint and painted wheels.

Don't mock my astroturf; it's uh, OEM to the house.

Good luck with the new ride, Rebel! I love Meguiars stuff. I use Meguiar's polish, then #7 glaze, then #26 carnuba wax. Zaino is definitely on my list of things to try.

Welcome to the forum. Asking for recommendation on auto wax will get you a lot of comments. Here is a very good link on detail information and you can use whatever products you wish:
