'95 Loose Windows

Both driver and passanger side windows sound like they are going to shatter when I close the doors with them half away down (basically any time they are not completely up, or completely down)

Is there anything that can be done about this? Is it just a loose mechanism that need adjusted/tightened?

More likely your felt pads that sit at the top of the door under the door trim. They need to be pushed up towards glass and tightened. You will need to remove door panels for that.
