Thought i wanted a C-5...but i luv my 92 way too much. The more i look at the big *** of the C-5..the more i like the looks of my 92. I drove a 2001..it was nice but it just didn't feel as good as my old car..I must be crazy because the wife said it was all right to spend the extra money.

If I didn't know better, I would have thought I had written that. I really like my Blue 92. For my 50th birthday this year my wife said she'd buy me a 50th ann. C5. I went and test drove a nice Blue vert and immediately after drove my 92 over the same back roads/ hwy loop. While I like the regular car feel of the C5 it really lacks in the sporty department compared to the C4. I would much rather wait until the prices drop for the C6 and get one of them....
I was going to buy a 1999 and while driving it, I didn't feel like I was in a vette. When I get into my 93 I feel like i'm in a cockpit, and it also seems that most C5 owners don't care that there driving the all american sports car, they're just driving a car.
is this going to turn into another "c5 owner" thread??
We could if you want... I make it a point to wave to a lot of vehicles, on my bike I wave to all other bikes, in my Mazda truck I'll wave to other Mazda trucks, when I pass a pedestrian we wave, it's a southern thing... Anyway last thursday on I85 there was a black C5 heading south towards Atlanta and I was on the phone, writing down a phone number and I looked up and there he was window open, waving at me, I jabbed the pen into the sunvisor to get in the wave at the last minute... As rare as a C5 wave is there was no way I was going to NOT return it. I know I shouldn't be doing all that and driving, but....
I know what you mean. A friend has a C5 and it is a nice car with over 400 hp, but it's not for me. I love my 92 coupe and I think I will always have it. In a few years the 92 will have a big brother, a C6 with the Z06 package.
