I have avoided the various versions of The Beach Boys... ever since Carl died, it's tragic... I saw them the summer of 1996, about 6 months before Carl died, and they still sounded great then.

I have no idea what became of that collection. After the guy won it, he was being inundated with requests to sell or break up the collection. Even then it was worth $1m - in as much as the sum of it's parts.

I think it sold for 1.5 million back in 1991. And isn't the song great, babes bikinis and our beloved Corvettes!!!!!!

It's not only the sound. There's something about a 60+ year old Mike Love bouncing around the stage singing "Be True to Your School" that just doesn't cut it anymore.

Yeah you do, Peter Maxx was going to do an art project with them, never happened and they've been sitting in a parking garage ever since, storys been on here a gazillion times.
