Mid-Atlantic body shops??
The guard rail won this fight... I've heard something about Sport Chevrolet from a couple guys. I was hoping for some choices but if anyone can back Sport's reputation, please do. TIA

There is one shop... but he can be painfully slow... I don't remember his name, but he is in the Smyrna area, on 13 (a little north of town, near Ronnie's IIRC - it's been a couple of years!). You will see a rather dumpy place with several Vettes out front in various states of restoration. I think his name is Rich or Rick, but I simply don't remember. However, for an insurance fix, I think he works pretty quick. Most of his work is long term resorations, so it's wait for part, wait for money to get part, that kinda thing.
Surprisingly, the body shop at the Dodge dealer, Holden Dodge, in Dover is pretty good. Ask for Rich, he is the super there, IIRC. He is a friend... tell him I said hi.

Also, Precision in Dover is good.
but I donno if either work on Vettes...
If I was you, I would go to a meeting of the Northern Delaware Corvette Club and ask them.
