You can also take a look at your VIN # and the sequence number that appears on it (the last five digits). This number will tell you where in line your car was. Second, take a look at the sticker on the driver's side door jamb. This should give the build date. Third, take a look up under the rear facia of your car. Do you see a black honeycomb type material, or a white styrofoam type material? Early C4 = black honeycomb. Later C4 = White Styrofoam Material.
My 93 was built in april of 93 which I believe would make it a late 93. The shop manual shows the thans being 4L60. No E. (E=electronic). I believe this is the same as the 700R4. Just called different. I dont believe the 4L60E came out until 94 with OBD II electronics. The easy way to tell what trans you have is to check to see if you have a TV cable. If you do then its not the "E" version. Hope this helps.
I REALLY wish that I could answer that for you. I have long been curious when the switch over took place myself. My car was built in November of '92 (early production), with a sequence number of #06091 (early production), and only has the black honeycomb material under the rear facia (early production).
It would be very interesting to have someone else write in with a sequence number that fell more in the middle and see what their car had. Honing in on an answer may not be too tough, but would take others contributing info. There were 21,590 Vettes produced in '93, and somewhere in the middle of those lies the answer.

My 93 last digits are p5115142. I guess this is 15,142 off the line. prod. date on door is 4-93. Looking in my 93 service manual I dont see where the E version was ever used in 93. Again wouldnt you have to have the odb2 system for it to work? Also I have the styrophone bumper insert.
unless they changed the RPO's, my 86 has MD8 as its transmission, which is 700R4. I wasnt going by your VIN number, since i dont know when they converted over to the 4L60E, the 700R4 and 4L60 are the exact same and the 4L60E just means that the computer controls it (electronic).
