That car is an almost exact duplicate of my car. Mine has a single 106mm turbo, though. The similarities are crazy. Leo Barnaby has been doing this stuff for a long time. That car will be back together and hauling butt soon.

I would bet his choice on the hood is for convenience based on the chassis.
Vid. shows he builds a good chassis, but it looks like he got out of the groove and then the car tried to hook again as it tried to straighten out. That car is very fast and at those speeds there is no way you can tell how prepped the track is until you are there, and by then it is probably too late. The way I see it is, he lucky he didn't bash his head severely on the cage. I have seen similar accidents years ago, one w/D. Carlton of which he did not survive. Chassis tech has come along way since, but so have the et.'s and MPH. Lately there have been a few crashes up here w/the 10" tire guys due to lack of track prep (cost to raceway and not a national event)at the weekly events.

you need to take a closer look....when the car gets that far out of shape (because of not lifting) and pointing at the guard rail, at that point there aren't many options.

It'd be cool to see the two of you lined up next to each other.

Yes, that's the guy. He is an amazing fabricator and chassis guy. I've never heard any negative words about him.
That was impressive! Those turbos are monsters! What's the displacement on the engine? And is that a Opti-Spark I see on the front of the engine?? Thanks for sharing Frank!
