Local used car lot has been displaying a C4 for several months. Advertised price $1800.00. Today I took a look. 85 which can best be described as the Titanic at 5 AM on April 12th. 134,xxx on the clock, runs and actually sounds kinda nice. Dash lights, rpm works but couldn't tell about the remainder, DIC is dead. Bose gone, unknown aftermarket in its place. Sports seats in reasonable condition. Top cracked, paint laughable. If someone is interested in a starting point for a DD or a race car this sad thing may have possibilities. My guess the lot will come off that price some for a cash sale. PM me if there is any real interest and I will take a closer look.
For those that didn't get it, the Titanic sank somewhere around 2 AM.
That sounds like a decent price for one that actually still runs. But either you or I am wrong about the date the Titanic hitand then sunk, I thought it hit April 14th PM and sank April 15th (my birthday) AM.

My bad. Sailed on the 12th. Hit the berg at 11:40 PM on the 14th and sank on the 15th.

So based on your original description this vette is in pretty darn nice shape then!
I am curious as to who has it for sale as I know and visit regularly most all of those guys down there and you would think I would have noticed such a thing. I saw a guy with a rough C3 for sale for $5000 at a shop down there last week, but didnt notice a C4 anywhere.

FORGET IT. Went to get some pics this AM. After I showed some interest yesterday it was moved, cleaned and a new price sticker put on: $7,800. I said OK and walked away.

Or did you really say NO WAY!?!
I have a line on an 85 that hasn't been on the road for 8+ years. Offered the guy 900. Its original and in decent shape for being stored outside all this time. He's thinking about it. We'll see.
