Knock Sensor Question?
I'm replacing my knock sensor tomorrow and I have a few questions. First, how much coolant can I expect to flow out of the block once I remove the old sensor? Second, what thread sealant is best to use? I bought the sensor at NAPA at it doesn't have the red sealant already on the threads like the GM ones do. The sensor came with a small pouch of anti-sieze compound which appears to be the type that is conductive. Do I just use the compound it came with or is there something better I should use? Thanks for any advice or help on this topic.

After draining mine, not much came out of the knock sensor hole. I would use the sealant that is supplied. I was really tempted to leave the heat shield off (no pup cats on mine), extra weight you know! But I did reinstall it.
