Color code
I received a build sheet from the Museum recently. It shows a white top and white leather interior. I'm here to tell you that he car has a black top and black leather interior. There are no "in process" markings on the build sheet. I contacted the museum and a very helpful woman there said that when last minute changes are made, notations prominently appear on the sheet. All other options, including the exterior color, are correct.
Any ideas??
Rick

1) Top and interior were swapped out for black sometime in the car's life.
2) You made a mistake on the VIN when you sent it to the musuem.
3) The museum made a mistake on the VIN.
4) Your car had its VIN changed by a Chicago car-theft ring/chop shop.
5) Your car actually DOES have a white top and interior....it just needs a good cleaning!

IIRC, the only white pieces in the white interior are the seats and door panels. RPO AR9 white leather seats cost an additional $555. There were only 752 cars with the white leather base seats. White sport seats, RPO AQ9 cost $1180 and 709 of those were installed in 92. The build sheet should also show RPO 103 for the white interior.
