The irony is you're one of two in this thread that are getting worked up.
As a past Zoner, I am not surprised. This is not exactly a big-money job - the pay is in-line with the experience of the average employee. One can not expect somebody making $7-8/hr to know every year/make/model combo out there. I usually called them right but when people started asking about Daewoos or 60's/70's less popular cars I usually got lost.
The people that used to **** me off were the "radiator for a 70's VW bug" idiots. I am glad they thought wasting my time was funny. It is just as stupid if I called and asked for a rear brake drum for a 90 Corvette or a new coil spring for same - I'll bet a good portion of the noobs here would mess that one up.
I even had people come in and pull the VW trick then turn around and ask me come up with some fairly complex low oil pressure - fuel cut out circuit for their dirt track car. Unbelievable
