I would buy one of those ones that hang off the console if they were priced more reasonably.
Same here. Backing up and holding the drink between my legs..

My favorite was "bend over, reach back with both of your hands and pull your head out". That and checking your eyelids for holes.

If you must drink and drive, use clear glass bottles, like Miller. They're easier to see through.

and i agree, miller in a clear bottle would be a good choice. i drink all the time in my vette. i drink miller lite cans though.

or maybe you can see through the bottom of a miller as you're drinking.

I gots one, but I only buy 20oz Pepsi bottles. Never buy cans for road trips, you can't put the cap on it to prevent spillage. 20oz bottles don't fit in the factory holder and besides, I have the ashtray in one with extra screws(or one's that fell out and I haven't figured out where they came from) and the other is full of change and spare fuses.

I put my workbag in the passenger seat (for optimal weight distribution in 5 mph traffic) and jam a travel mug of hot tea between it and the passenger seat bolster - it has a swivel stopper so no spillage.

In the cup holders I have an in-car ioniser sticking out of the ciggy lighter and about 2 bucks in change I found under the drivers seat.. sweeeet
