I'm the proud owner of a stock white 93 coupe with 77k. Looks and runs great. A friend tells me about a stock red 94 vert with 84k at a good price. Also looks and runs great. I've kind of allways wanted a vert but have not driven one in some time. Those of you that have had both...which do you prefer? Does the vert drive more stable than a coupe(top off)? Give me some advantages and disadvantages to think about.

I have both I like the looks of the vert best with the factory hardtop over the coupe I just think it looks better than the coupe but they are both great cars
One thing in a C4 is you loose a lot of storage area in a vert compared to a coupe. And some guys will tell you that the verts are more rigid or stiff compared to a coupe. But I would believe that a vert will be worth more money someday.

I have owned 1 coupe and 2 convertibles. The verts have an x brace that seems to make it handle better. You do lose some storage space but who cares on a nice summer day.
Personally I love my coupe. Best off both worlds IMO. If its a gorgeous day, I just take the top off. Structural Integrity is compromised slightly though
I have driven both and the coupe is more rigid than the vert with the top on plus it is more comfortable with the extra room.
Not to get you vert guys in an uproar because there's nuthin like a ragtop.
I love my Vert!!!!!!! I agree that the lack of luggage space can be a problem on trips (with the top down), but I am trying to remedy the situation by building a luggage trailer to pull behind the Vette on trips. You can also buy a luggage bin that slips into a Reese hitch (although you will have to put a trailer hitch on your Vette). But there is nothing like a drive along the ocean or out in the country with the top down. It will sell you immediately.

Nothing sharper in my opinion than a vert with a hard top. Not a real fan of the rag top though.
I've had both. Some times a vert is a pain. If you're in a big city with a lot of heavy traffic on the interstate the noise with the top down is a headache. Some times a coupe with the windows up and air on is peaceful.
