Here is some shots of hibernation, and my latest project of replacing the condenser, evaporator, radiator cleaning, and powdercoating the main crash support, along with painting the frame rails.
That looks NEW. Don't forget to drive it once in a while.
Looks really good, Koda.
Spanky, he's in Rochester, NY, not exactly the El Paso of New York state! They really get snow (no matter what the Chamber of Commerce sez) !!!!!! I'd guess that a good next day for him to be driving it could be ........ around April 10. Next year.
No, R134A, a couple of my buddies that own an A/C shop counseled me on what orifice tube to use, and I had already converted it over. They also will draw it down, then recharge it. They love the car, and get a big kick out of it, because they know I don't cut corners. Around here, R12 is $90.00 lb., and with the R134A charge, they were getting 34 degrees out of the vents, so that works for me....
That will look look really nice what color are you going to Paint. Don't forget to post more pictures.
Paul
I'm just doing the frame in gloss black like original. Here is a picture of the fan housing after it was disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, then I tested the motors. Notice the fiberglass finish, that's how they should look after all the grime is gone. I will post more pictures during reassembly.

April 10, if I'm luck!!! Problem is, there is usually a lot of residual salt on the roads, so I usually wait for a couple good rains to wash everything down. These azz clowns around here will salt right until the end of April if it snows, so it is hit, and miss.
By the looks of this car as I have restored it, it was never driven in the salt, because everything has come apart easily.....

That is a looonnnngg winter. The effort you have made to preserve that car really is impressive. My car is a driver. I just keep going till the snow gets too deep . I get too boored driving other cars.

It started out as a driver, but after I put so much time into the paint, and motor, it is a garage queen now. In the summer I go to local cruise night a few times a week, so it gets used, just not on the expressway. I have a new Crew Cab, Z71 Colorado, which is great for hauling my two boys around, along with materials for house projects.
I have more pictures coming with the work I'm doing on the frame, I will post back shortly with those..........

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
