I just received my new seat covers, they came with the
shoulder straps and automatic shift boot!! and my question
is, how do you change the shift boot on my 84 automatic????

first pop the button off of the stick, use a small screwdriver. then take out the ring holding the **** on. slide off ****. the only reason that you have to get that off is to fit the console over the top. if you dont it will scratch it up... ask me how i know
now you have to take off the panel, to get it off you have to take off the panel with the radio. and to get that one you have to loosen the one infront of the wheel.
then you can unbolt the boot and slide it off. it is easy and i did my '84 auto in about 15min.
