hatch released

while driving i came to a stop sign , and all of the suddent my hatch released ,and the Passive keyless entry light came on on the board .any suggestion of what it might be/ i checked all the fuses, they all seemed Ok !

Auto or 6 speed?

Probably abit of a one off glitch, if it happens again then start looking into it, id start with the PKE module.

PASSIVE kEYLESS ENTRY

Is a 1996 LT1 Automatic.and thanks for the reply !

If it happens again, try turning off the PKE or pull the fuse and see if that stops the problem. I'm not sure if the latch assesembly has any kind of adjustment.
