As some of you have read in a past post I purchased chrome wheels for my '84. These are stock rims which were supposed to come with the chrome caps and bow ties. Unfortunately the place where I bought them can't find the bow ties. I found them at Mid-America @ $50 a pop. Anyone know who else may have the stick-on ties?

Where'd you buy them so I can steer clear?
I was about to order a set before I read this and have two EBay seller companies in my sights.
Find a vinyl graphic shop near where you live. I had a guy right around the corner from my house do these for my 1991. The rims are from OE Concepts, and they came with some checker board bow ties that looked like azz. These cost me a whooping $20 for all 4, plus he has a file saved for me in case something happens to one, and they even put them on for me.
He also did the emblem for my valve cover, as the original was ruined, he will remember, we did it like three times until I got it the way I wanted it..................
Also, instead of the black background under the red bowtie, you might want to use yellow, as that would be correct for your car. The other thing he did was, instead of the black, and white checker board, he left the white out, and just let the chrome show through, which was his idea, and it looks great.
He should be able to e-mail a picture of what it would look like with both, black, and yellow, under the red bowtie.

The place is called "The Signery, and the number is 585-663-1570, and they are located in Rochester N.Y. I believe the guys name is Mark, same as me. Just tell him the red 1991 Vette logos on the chrome wheels. If it's OK with you I may call him tomorrow also. I just had my OE Concepts ZR1's mounted today.
No problem, give him a call. I have the same rims that you have, and what you see in the picture I got from OE Concepts. You wouldn't have liked what came with the rim, and the guys that mounted mine didn't even put them on because they knew I wouldn't like them. GM won't release the licensing, so we had to go around that........ Oh yes, I found my sales slip, they were $40.00, I paid $20.00 for the valve cover emblem.........sorry!!

Hey Kodavette. You were just leaving Signery as Mark was taking my call this morning. I had a nice conversation with him. Unfortunately he was a little reluctant to commit to making the bow ties until he checked with the owner. He said they had no problem with making a one-time run for someone local. But, he was a little worried about licensing with GM. He is getting back to me on Monday.
After speaking with him I called Corvette Mike's. It seems they have the center cap bow ties for $5 each. I ordered them. I'll let everyone know what their like when I receive them.

Jake
If that happens, you can also get the caps from CM.
BTW:
Typically caps are considered an additional item. The caps, lugs, & bow ties need to be ordered separately.... If some companies include them (caps), the wheels are probably priced accordingly.

I know, I was back in this afternoon, and Mark said you called. Did you see a picture of what you paid for with the Bow Ties?? I hope you get what you are looking for, because I have been around, and around trying to find the correct pieces.
