Replace Rear Window Convertible
The rear window on my 1992 convertible needs to be replaced. Has anybody done this before. Where do I get the part. How do I do it. Do I have to replace the whole top?

When I had an '88 convertible, I inquired about replacing the back window. Took it to several convertible top places and was told that they could not replace just the window...the whole top had to be replaced.

My 95 glass window was loose.The previous owner used ge silicone around the entire window "frame" a few years ago and it is still holding up-saved me from purchasing a new top.This seems like a common problem

Wow, this thread has gotten my attention. I was ASSUMING that you could just motor over to the local upholstery shop and have a window replaced, maybe in time to pick the car up after work and cruise a little.
Had no clue they couldn't just sew in a new one. Hmmmmm...
