If the car is all stock, and the fans are working correctly, I can't see justifing the additional expense........

I don't know if it would be worth it. Less than a month after I picked my 95 in 2004 my radiator went, as I live in Palm Springs and it was still summer where our temps are 110+ for 3 months I went to the dealer. I would not do that now, but at the time I didn't know anything about Corvettes. I would not use the dealer.

I agree with going with the stock type and, BTW, I'm in the market for one for a 96 LT1.

Shoot me a post on what kind of prices you've come up with.

Best I've found so far is $137.00 with free shipping and no sales tax.

Jake

No, not even in a state that gets as hot as Texas. I'm going stock.

I just got back from SoCal, I'm really glad I had my aftermarket radiator in it. It has a larger core section Temp stayed at 177 all the way down the Pacific Coast Highway. Nice and cool while I was in the desert too.

Jake - where'd you find it for 137?

that's a way better price than most auto stores???? Seems I typically see it for about 200 on the cheap end.

DeWitts is a forum vendor, and he sometimes runs group purchases, and it's a direct fit. My BeCool required the spacers seen above.

discountradiators.com

I also found a 2 core for $159, 3 row and several other sites in the $150 price range.

Thanks for the plug...

What is the notch in the be-cool spacers. I made some out of 3/4 bar stock and they work without a notch.

The stock C4 radiators are single row 1" tubes and our Direct Fit models are two row 1" tubes. The overall dimensions are exactly the same as the stock ones so fit is not a problem.
