What wrong with my digi dash ???
At engine speeds above 3000-3200rpm my tach stops reading correctly and starts displaying between 500-1000rpm. Up until that rpm, all seems normal, gauge seems smooth and fairly responsive, then wham, its totally worthless.
Anybody have this happen to them and what did you to to fix it. Seems pretty screwed up to me, do I need a complete dash overall and calibration?
Whos the best at repairing these suckers?

have you replaced the Distributor coil recently? If so with which one?
Also the tach filter could be bad which would cause that symptom

I've just replaced everything under the hood :D , the distributor included.
I used an Accel Brute thunder coil along with an Accel ignition module and all new Accel 8.8mm spiral ignition wires.
Do certain coils cause problems with the dash cluster?
