Default shock difference

are the '95-'96 shocks different than my '93 ? I heard they offer a better ride. any truths to this?

According to the Bilstein product application guide, the standard FE1 (listed as Heavy Duty in the guide) shocks are the same for a '93 and a '95.

Front P/N = B46-2053
Rear P/N = B46-2054

Since they carry the same P/N, I wouldn't expect the shocks to make a measureable difference in the ride (unless your current shocks are shot).

For what it's worth, I went from the base (FE1) Bilstein shocks to the Z51 shocks in my 96 last year, and the difference was literally night and day! Like going from a Buick to....well....a Corvette! The car finally felt how it was *supposed* to feel. If you're looking for an upgrade in performance while maintaining OEM shocks, don't look any further than the Z51 Bilsteins.

I got mine from www.shox.com. I think I paid $300, including shipping, for a set of (4) new Z51s. I did the install in my garage with basic - and I mean BASIC - handtools in a single evening. If I could do it, anybody can...
