Hi everyone, I reciently purchased a basket case 86 convertable on eBay. As it turns out, the seller was less than forthcomming regarding it's condition, "big surprise". It was cosmetically updated to a 93 with both front and rear bumpers as well as the complete interior, dash and interior wiring harness. The wiring is the most pressing problem as nothing is connected to anything I have an origional GM shop manual from my 85 but I need the wiring diagrams for a 93 to make the comparison. With the correct information, I'm up for this. Any help, suggestions or advice will be most appreciated.
Many thanks,
Grammabud

Wow! Are you a glutton for punishment? Good luck and fill out your profile so we know what part of the world you live in. There is a possibility that some members live nearby and might be willing to come over to help and empty your fridge!
Many thanks to all. As suggested, I did fill out a profile.
I'm not a beginner with basket case cars. This car came with no engine or trans but I have all of that stuff. The challange will be the wiring.
Locating good wiring info will be the key.
Thanks again,
Grammabud
If this is your first C4, I would highly recommend changing everything back to the 1986 specification. It is going to be way too much work and trouble to make a basket case project operate correctly when it has electrical systems from two different generations.
So if I can help please let me know. I have two service manuals that together are about 4 inches thick..LOL My email address is insureitall@knology.net
After looking at your profile I wont' try to talk you out of this, you know what you are getting into. My suggestion would be to get a 93 service manual as well, you will need it. I understand there are some aftermarket wiring manufacturers that cater to the street rod trade, they might be of some help too, best of luck and welcome. You found a valuable resource here, great bunch of people.
