Default Help on Light upgrades

Hello all,

I would like to know if there is any good mods for the head lights and fog lights because mine are not the brightest. I would like to be able to see where Im driving at night, I just feel comfortable seeing at night

Hella makes a replacement light fixture that uses replacable bulbs. I have this and it works very nicely.

As for the fog lights... I don't remember the number, but I think it's the 896 bulb that fits where the OEM bulb does, but has more wattage. It helps a little...

I put in Sylvania Silver Star headlights, and I was surprised how much better they are than my previous Wagner Halogens. They were a direct plug-in.

Silverstars are great replacements and not terribly expensive. For about $120, you can upgrade to the Hella replacement lamp housings and get a good H4 Xenon bulb. Cibie also has a good lamp housing.

Both of these units are glass but thay should not cause any issues with the headlamp motors as long as they are in good shape. The beam pattern of these housings are much better than any 6054 bulb.

Outside of going to the 884 bulb for the fog lights, there is not a lot you can do with them. The fog lamps are a sealed plastic unit that also includes the turn signal /park lamps. They will not handle excess heat generated from high-wattage bulbs.

I agree.
I tried the Silver Stars, but soon went to a Hella reflector and 80/100W standard H4 bulb. They work great!!
Bosch is another reflector that many guys like.
